After eating our way through piles of food yesterday in thanks for this years offerings, I would like to suggest that the Tuesday afterwards should be a half day.
We can use half the day for sleeping off Monday, and the other half working off the excess turkey.
Although, we probably shouldn’t shed too much, since we need to layer up for the long winter ahead.

The Story Of Thankgiving – As Told By Mehoi
Once upon a time, a long long time ago, there was a group of settlers that found a wonderful new place to live.
They built houses and had happy families. The only problem with this new life, was the long and cold winters they had to endure. However, they liked their new home so much that they decided to stay and try to devise a way to make the cold months more bearable.
As nature lovers and keen observers of the abundant wildlife around them, the settlers quickly came up with a plan.
During the warmer seasons, they made farms and tended their crops with care. By autumn, they stood before their harvest with great satisfaction.
After a week of cooking and preparing various foods, the settlers finally sat down for their meal. It was to be a giant feast, in thanksgiving to all the glorious nature that surrounded them. So of course, their wildlife friends were also invited!
There was so much delicious food to be had, that most of the humans and larger animals present fell into a food coma midway through the party. The smaller nibblers took their time, snacking away the cold months while keeping a watchful eye over the sleeping parties.
The slumbering humans and animals awoke from their food stupor, to a warm breeze and the chirping of birds. It was the first day of spring!
Everyone cheered and there were handshakes and congratulations all around. They decided to call their day of feast – Thanksgiving Day from then on.
The End.
